Mike synchronizes resources across the company for Product development and assures products align with company priorities and objectives. He is an innovative operations engineer and manager with over 27 years of experience in satellite operations and manufacturing, systems development, and integration. Mike began his career in space systems as a commissioned officer in the United States Air Force with assignments in the Space Warfare Center and Air Force Space Battle Lab. Mike received a bachelor’s in mathematics from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
Chris Coleman, PhD
Chris contributes experience with novel processing techniques and image enhancement to build low-cost, small satellite SAR systems. He is a pioneering researcher in the area of self-structuring antennas and scatterers. His 17-year career demonstrates ongoing innovation in SAR applications and techniques. Chris received a PhD in electrical engineering with a concentration on electromagnetics from Michigan State University.
Stephen is responsible for supporting the development and analysis of satellite and ground station communications links, ground station satellite tracking systems, satellite radar systems and satellite power systems. Stephen applies over 30 years of experience building radio and communication systems across automotive and space industries for commercial and government clients. Stephen earned a bachelor’s in electrical engineering from Auburn University.
Kara leads the spacecraft design, developing a spacecraft to support the cutting-edge OFX SAR payload emphasizing low-cost manufacturing. Kara has over 12 years of experience in the commercial and government space industry, specializing in integration and testing. She received her bachelor’s in Earth Science Systems and Engineering and master’s in Space Systems from the University of Michigan.
Braxton leads the development of avionics subsystems. Throughout his career, Braxton has focused on the development of avionics systems for satellites, as a software engineer and later with systems engineering. He provides engineering expertise across the company regarding other spacecraft subsystems and mission design. Commitment to lower acquisition and operational cost of space within the commercial sector motivate his work. Braxton studied aerospace avionics engineering at Queensland University of Technology and earned his master’s degree in systems engineering from Virginia Tech.
